Who we are
This site, 3fa.ca, is operated by Third Factor Authentication Inc. (“3FA”, “we”). It is a static informational site — it has no accounts, no forms, and collects no personal information directly.
Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site — pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and how you arrived here. We use this only to improve the site. We do not use advertising features, and we do not sell or share this data.
Analytics is off by default. The Google Analytics script is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set unless you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. If you decline, or simply dismiss nothing, no tracking occurs.
Cookies
These cookies are set only after you accept analytics:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes visitors (Google Analytics) | 2 years |
_ga_VT97SGKTM6 | Maintains session state (Google Analytics) | 2 years |
Your consent choice itself is stored in your browser’s local storage
(threefa-consent) so we don’t ask you on every visit. It
never leaves your device.
Your choices
- Change your mind anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Declining stops collection and removes Google Analytics cookies set by this site.
- You can also block analytics globally with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Data handling
Analytics data is processed by Google LLC on our behalf; see the Google Privacy Policy. IP addresses are not logged or stored by Google Analytics 4. We retain analytics data for 14 months, after which it is deleted automatically.
